Your Vault stays on your device
Saved photos, appraisals, and item purchase prices are stored locally. Worth does not upload the Vault to its own database.
We do not sell or track you
Worth has no advertising network, data broker, email or social sign-in, or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.

What happens to your information
Information Worth processes
When you request an appraisal, Worth processes one or two item photos and any optional correction or context you type. The service returns an identification, story, confidence assessment, and estimated resale range.
To prevent abuse, the service also processes a random installation identifier and request IP address. Worth stores only one-way hashes of those values with daily request counts.
Purchases and appraisal credits
Apple processes payments. Worth never receives your payment-card or bank-account details. To grant and restore appraisal credits, Worth verifies App Store-signed app and purchase records.
Worth stores an opaque Apple-provided app identifier, product and transaction identifiers, purchase date, revocation state, and credit balance. These records prevent a purchase from being credited twice and keep unused credits available after reinstalling.
How AI processing works
Appraisal requests travel over encrypted connections to Worth’s Supabase-hosted proxy and then to OpenAI. Worth does not place appraisal photos in its cloud database or cloud storage.
OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models. By default, abuse-monitoring logs may include request content and are retained for up to 30 days, with limited legal or safety exceptions.
On-device storage
Appraisals and photos you choose to save are stored in the Worth Vault on your iPhone. A price you paid is also local. Delete an item in the app to remove its saved appraisal and photos, or delete the app to remove its local data.
Retention
Worth’s abuse-prevention hashes and daily counters are removed after 31 days. Purchase and credit records remain while they are needed to provide unused credits, restore purchases, prevent duplicate grants, resolve refunds, and meet legal obligations.
Worth does not retain appraisal photos or results in its own cloud. OpenAI’s default abuse-monitoring retention is up to 30 days, subject to limited legal or safety exceptions.
Service providers
Worth uses Apple for App Store purchases, Supabase to operate the secure appraisal and credit services, and OpenAI to analyze item photos. These providers process data to deliver and protect the service. Worth does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Your choices
You can decline AI photo processing and continue to view the local app without appraising. You control which photos are sent and which results are saved. You can remove saved items from the Vault and restore verified App Store purchases at any time.
Children
Worth is a general-audience collecting tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy changes
If Worth’s data practices materially change, this page and its “Last updated” date will change before the new practice applies. Material new AI or purchase-data uses will be disclosed in the app.
